Artistic Swim Collaboration Training Event

Edmonton Aurora Synchro Club used their Take the Lead support to address changes within their sport, as there has been an increased importance in the use of acrobatics in artistic swimming with limited support for clubs and coaches to implement them. This project included a collaboration with the Edmonton area artistic swim clubs (Strathcona Syncatics, Excel, Nova and Aurora) hosted an Acrobatics training event for all of the clubs to attend. The camp supported the coaches training as well as the athletes demonstrating and learning the mechanics of safely participating in more difficult acrobatics.

The event hosted 110 participants over the sessions.

"It was amazing for all the clubs in Edmonton come together to work on acrobatics. It is a dangerous part of the sport and Anastasiya was able to set clear standards for the coaches and swimmers. Before this camp I was reluctant to try many acrobatic skills because I lacked the knowledge to teach my swimmers to do them properly. We are all safer and more confident in coaching and having our swimmers perform acrobatics. Without the help from InMotion, we would not had the opportunity to have such a meaningful camp.
