Advanced Coaching Diploma

Congratulations to Heather, for completing her Advanced Coaching Diploma in 2025-2026. Through Karate Alberta's Take the Lead, Heather strengthened her leadership capacity both as a Para-Karate National Team coach and in her role as President of Karate Alberta. The diploma program enhanced her ability to build effective leadership models, support athlete pathways, and contribute to the continued growth and success of para-karate in Canada.

Heather continues to serve as a strong female role model in sport, whether at her local club South Calgary Karate or with Para-Karate Canada, she is demonstrating inclusive leadership, breaking barriers in a traditionally male-dominated environment, and inspiring the next generation of athletes and coaches, particularly women and girls, to pursue excellence in karate. Overall, the project represents a meaningful investment in coach education, resulting in stronger leadership, improved athlete support, and a lasting impact on the karate community!
