Red Deer Grow Kids - Strong Confident Beautiful

This year's event was the 20th anniversary and the first one in person in over 3 years! The committee has updated the name of the event to Grow Kids - Strong Confident Beautiful (formerly know as Red Deer Go Girl) to be more inclusive of all the students who attend the event. The long standing support of this event is from the tremendous support of of long term committee members including support from both of the local Red Deer school districts. As this event is open to all Grade 5 girls in the region, the support from the school districts is vital to the event's success.

In May 2023, 792 girls attended the event at the Collicutt Centre in Red Deer. This includes over 50 high school volunteers who have attended the event in the past as a participant.

Over 28 sessions were offered throughout the day including: Cheerleading, Wall Climbing, Soccer, Lacrosse, Golf, Funtastic Foods, Piloxing, Ninja Tumbling, Judo, Mindfulness Yoga, Artistic Swimming, Golf Alberta, Minor League Baseball, Shoots and Ladders and Slip and Slide.
