Go Girl Hinton
The Go Girl Conference held in Hinton on May 3, 2025, was a vibrant, community-driven event that empowered girls and women to explore physical activity, mental wellness, and creative expression in a fun, supportive, and supervised recreational setting.
The event brought together participants of all backgrounds to try a variety of sessions—from fitness and sport to art, self-care, and leadership workshops. We worked closely with local organizations, volunteers, and sponsors to keep registration fees minimal, provide free transportation, and offer healthy meals and snacks throughout the day.
To ensure inclusivity, the organizers worked to eliminate common barriers by:
- Subsidizing costs through local grants and community donations.
- Hosting the event in a centrally located, fully accessible venue.
- Providing free gear, equipment and supplies where needed.
With strong support from community partners and local leaders, the Go Girl Conference successfully created a safe space for self-discovery, learning, and connection. Feedback from participants and families has been overwhelmingly positive, with many attendees expressing that this was their first opportunity to try new activities without fear or pressure.
