ElevateGirls Volleyball Training
ElevateGirls Volleyball Training
ElevateGirls was a free, 8-week volleyball training program hosted by Coalition des femmes de l’Alberta. This program was designed to empower girls aged 11 to 18 through accessible, community-based recreation. The session was hosted in a francophone school, and focused on building skills, confidence, and friendships through fun and engaging volleyball sessions led by experienced coaches.
As specialized technically volleyball training can be expensive, this program eliminated cost as a barrier, to ensure all girls, regardless of background or experience, had the opportunity to participate. The program prioritized inclusivity by promoting a supportive environment where each participant could grow at her own pace, fostering both physical activity and a sense of belonging. There were 18 girls who participated in the program.
