Callingwood-Lymburn Community League Soccer Program

The Callingwood-Lymburn Community League used their Women in Motion/Girls in Motion support for their 2024-2025 girls soccer program. In order to keep this community-based soccer program low cost, but still having certified coaches, the support was used to provide honorariums for young women coaches. Many of these coaches are former CLCL players who now volunteer their time while balancing university and work, and the honorariums helped remove financial barriers to their continued involvement. By keeping registration fees affordable and partnering with local schools for field space, we ensured our program remained accessible to all families.

Our focus on female leadership created a welcoming and supervised environment where girls could develop their athletic skills, confidence, and sense of belonging. The presence of strong female role models inspired the next generation of players, and CLCL’s efforts to promote inclusivity and community engagement contributed to increased participation and retention in girls’ soccer.
