Kids Up Front Calgary - Go Girl Calgary Wild

Kids Up Front Calgary was able to provide 22 girls with a low-cost, community-based event in a supervised recreational setting by hosting Go Girl, a soccer experience for girls in partnership with the Calgary Wild soccer team. The event took place in a safe and supportive environment where the participants engaged in fun, structured soccer drills led by experienced coaches and players from the Calgary Wild.

By working with a local team, they eliminated barriers to participation, and worked with participants for an accessible event. The session focused on building confidence, encouraging teamwork, and promoting physical activity, all within a fun, inclusive setting. The presence of trained coaches and Kids Up Front staff ensured the girls were supervised, supported, and engaged throughout the entire event.

This initiative is a strong example of how Kids Up Front connects youth with opportunities that empower them, support community engagement, and promote healthy lifestyles, without the financial burden that often limits access to extracurricular sports.
