Because of the important roles Indigenous coaches play, the Coaching Association of Canada and the Aboriginal Sport Circle have made it a priority to educate and promote the value of certification, and establish meaningful participation of Indigenous peoples in the NCCP. ISCA is the sport body member for Alberta and offers the NCCP Aboriginal Coaching Module (ACM). Designed to complement the NCCP certification process, the ACM is a professional development training tool for all coaches who coach Aboriginal athletes.
